What this blog is for
Most of what a buyer needs to know about Dubai does not change from month to month: there is no annual property tax, foreigners can own freehold in designated areas, the Dubai Land Department registers every purchase, and a property above a set value can support a long-term visa. Those things are explained once, properly, in the four guides, and they are not repeated here.
What does change is the market: prices, transaction volumes, which areas are being opened up to freehold ownership, which pieces of infrastructure are about to land. That is what the blog covers. Each post is dated, gives its figures with their source and period, and says plainly when a number is approximate or has since moved. When a post touches something a guide already explains, it links to the guide rather than restating it.
Two things you will not find here: forecasts dressed up as facts, and per-unit prices. Starting prices, sizes and the payment plan are published on the residence pages; the price of a particular unit comes from the sales team, because it depends on the floor and the view and changes as units are sold.
